Teenage bowler Jack Murphy (6/21) starred with the ball as Wales Minor Counties began their 2013 season with a resounding five-wicket victory over Dorset in their MCCA Trophy match at Bournemouth.

The seventeen year-old left-arm seamer who is a member of the Glamorgan Academy returned the impressive figures of 10-3-21-6 to rip the heart out of the home side's batting at the Dean Park ground, with his efforts seeing Dorset stumble from 124/4 in the 37th over to 166/9 at the end of their 50 over allocation.

The youthful Wales Minor Counties side, led by former Glamorgan all-rounder Darren Thomas, then eased to their target with almost nine overs in hand with Alex Griffiths making 45 and Aneurin Norman, who had earlier conceded just 21 runs in his nine overs, scoring 42 as Wales Minor Counties ended on 167/5 in the 42nd over.
