Jim Allenby today became the first Glamorgan batsman to reach 1,000 first-class runs for the season. Later in the afternoon, Murray Goodwin also reached 1,000 for the summer.
The all-rounder, who is playing in his 100th first-class match, duly reached the landmark as he scored the 59 runs he required in mid-afternoon as he cover drove Tom Wells for four during Glamorgan's LV=County Championshipo match against Leicestershire at Swansea.
After tea, Murray Goodwin also reached the 1,000 run mark for the season as he cover drove Ollie Freckingham as Glamorgan moved past 350.
