Glamorgan's LV=County Championship match against Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl ended in a watery draw as heavy rain ended play an hour or so after lunch on the final day of the contest with Hampshire on 237/4 and a lead of 108 runs.
But just as the floodlights were about to go on, and Michael Hogan was about to bowl the first ball, it briefly started to drizzle again causing the loss of two further overs. Liam Dawson edged the fifth ball of the day through the slips before Chris Wood did the same in Hogan's second over. Hampshire then went into the lead as Dawson pulled Hogan for four, before Wood survived a run-out chance as he backed up too far.
John Glover duly replaced Wagg and was struck through the covers by Wood, but another mix-up in the calling led to Dawson being run out by Hogan with Hampshire on 142/3. Neil McKenzie then despatched his first ball through mid-on for four before off-driving Wagg when he switched to the Pavilion End. The former Springbok batsman then twice cut Glover for four as Hampshire extended their modest lead shortly before lunch.
Will Bragg then had a trundle at the Pavilion End during which Wood glanced him to long-leg for four en route to fifty from 124 balls. He celebrated by twice late cutting Bragg for four as well as off-driving him, and clipping him to square-leg before Gareth Rees had an over at the Northern End before the new ball was taken with Graham Wagg returning to the attack.
With his second ball, Wagg induced a bottom edge from a pull by wood and Michael Hogan completed the catch at first slip. The night-watchman dejectedly walked off having made 69, but it then started to rain with the players and umpires leaving the field.
