Following last night's thrilling win against Worcestershire, Glamorgan Cricket are preparing for a record attendance for Friday's top of the table clash against the Northamptonshire Steelbacks at the SWALEC Stadium
Glamorgan's Chief Executive, Alan Hamer said: "Once again, our supporters played an important part in helping the team to beat Worcestershire. They act as our 12th man and their support provides us with significant advantage over our opponents.
"As expected, our ticket office has been very busy this morning as people look to purchase their tickets for this Friday's game. We've taken on additional staff to cope with the demand.
"I would urge all of our supporters to get behind the team and ensure that the SWALEC Stadium is rocking on Friday night as we look to clinch a quarter final spot in this year's Friends Life t20 competition.
"Having just fallen short of our all-time record attendance in the home game against Somerset, this Friday's match gives us another opportunity to make history. "
As part of their preparations and coupled with the good weather forecast for Friday, Glamorgan Cricket have taken steps to bring in additional bar and food units to cope with the expected large demand.
Similarly, the Club have also made improvements to the ticket collection process collection so that spectators that have pre-purchased their tickets can collect them without delay on the night.
Hamer added: "In partnership with our T20 shirt sponsors, Sytner Cardiff BMW, we are offering all advance ticket purchasers the opportunity to win a BMW Z4 car for a weekend.
The winner will be announced during the interval at Friday's match.
To be in with a chance of winning, spectators will need to purchase their ticket before midnight on Thursday 25th July."
Head of Elite Performance Matthew Mott said, "We are delighted with the support we had from the spectators tonight, it's great when they get behind the team. The atmosphere at the end of the match last night was fantastic.
"I just hope everyone turns up on Friday night and we can carry on with the way have been playing here.
"I'm certainly no mathematician but the next one [versus Northants on Friday] is a very important game. Winning would take a lot of pressure off and that certainly makes a difference but we really want to finish our home record here perfectly with the two games coming up against Northants and then against Gloucestershire next Tuesday and perhaps host a quarter final here too.
"We are confident after tonight. We have got a great team that can adapt to most conditions."
