Glamorgan will be seeking a record fourth successive victory in a season in Twenty20 cricket when they meet Somerset at the SWALEC Stadium on Friday evening in the Friends Life t20 (start time - 6.30pm)
The Welsh county have previously won three games in a row in 2006 and 2010. In 2006 they started the t20 season by defeating Worcestershire at Sophia Gardens by seven wickets, before beating Warwickshire at Edgbaston by six wickets and then winning a nail-biter with Somerset at Cardiff by the slender margin of one wicket.
In 2010 they completed three wins in a row by defeating Gloucestershire at the SWALEC Stadium by six wickets before beating both Hampshire and Essex by seven wickets at Cardiff and Chelmsford respectively.
A victory on Friday night will also mean that, taking into account the victory at Edgbaston at the end of last season, Glamorgan will have completed a sequence of five successive wins for the first-ever time in Twenty20 cricket. Their previous best sequence is four consecutive wins in 2009/10.
