Glamorgan Cricket Chief Executive, Alan Hamer has hailed tonight's T20 clash with Gloucestershire as the Club's most important one-day game for several years.
"Tonight's match is without doubt, our most important one-day game for several years.
Our first four home t20 games this year have attracted over 21,000 supporters to the SWALEC Stadium - we are grateful for their continued support and I would ask them to back the boys once again tonight as we look to clinch a quarter-final spot for the first time in 5 years.
"Following our disappointing defeat to Northamptonshire last Friday night, it is extremely pleasing to report that yesterday we sold over 1,000 tickets for tonight's game. Coupled with the good weather forecast for this evening, we can look forward to another well attended match."
Glamorgan's Head of Elite Performance, Matthew Mott added, "If you had said to us at the start of the tournament, that we have to win against Gloucestershire, on our home ground for a quarter final spot, every man in our dressing room would have bitten your hand off.
"As we said in our team meeting, we haven't had the opportunity to play in finals for some years and even if we have lost a couple out of the last few games, we've still won almost as many games as anyone in the country, so whether you win the games at the start, middle or end of the tournament, our goal is clear, we need one more win.
Supporters can still buy tickets for the game tonight online at www.glamorgancricket.com with etickets available until 3pm or buy now and collect from the Ticket booth at the ground this morning or from in front of the Sport Wales building after 4pm. Adult tickets are priced £20, students £10, whilst juniors aged 16 and under go free. The weather forecast for tonight's game is now dry.
