Yorkshire 2nd XI win by 78 runs

Yorkshire 2nd XI beat Glamorgan 2nd XI by 78 runs at Headingley Carnegie.

Glamorgan 2nd XI were dismissed for 128 chasing a target of 207 with Ian Wardlaw taking 3/30 and Richard Pyrah 3/29.

On the second day of the contest, Glamorgan had declared on 259/7 in the 80th over with Tom Lancefield making 98 as the home side secured a first innings lead of 45.

Yorkshire then collapsed in their second innings with Dominic Reed, brother of Mike, scything his way through their top order with 4/25 before teenage spinner Kieran Bull took 2/10 as Yorkshire ended the day on 101/8 after 31 overs. Their tailenders duly recovered to make 161 as they set GLamorgan a target of 207 to win.

On the opening day of the contest Jack Murphy had claimed 4/50 from sixteen overs as Yorkshire declared on 304/6 after 97 overs.
