Glamorgan 2nd XI beat Durham 2nd XI - and the weather - in their Second Eleven Trophy contest today at Panteg, with the two Jones' - Alex and Simon - each taking three wickets as the visitors were dismissed for just 88.

After Durham batted first, the visitor's collapsed dramatically to 34-8 with Alex Jones taking 3/16 and Simon Jones 3/19, with all of the latter's three wickets coming in one destructive over. John Glover also claimed 2/15 and Will Owen 2/32 before Durham were dismissed for 88 after 27.4 overs.

With rain forecast, Glamorgan then set about reaching their target as quickly as possible, with Ben Wright leading the way with 25. Although light rain started to fall, Glamorgan were helped on their way by a plethora of extras as the Durham attack conceded 22 runs in no-balls and wides, before Glamorgan reached 89-5 in the 16th over to register a five-wicket victory.

Between Tuesday, May 28th and Thursday, May 30th the two counties will be meeting each other at the Panteg ground in a Second Eleven Championship match which starts each day at 11am
