Mark Wallace talks to the media following the narrow defeat to Gloucestershire in the Yorkshire Bank 40
"I have total mixed emotions after today's game
"It's disappointing. Obviously we won our first two games, then had one rained off last weekend so to not win today we're really disappointed
"It was a good game, there are areas where we could have saved those 10 runs which we ended up losing by which is disappointing.
"To get hundred is great individually but if I hadn't run Marcus North out we might have won with 5 overs to go
"I actually thought we were in the driving seat for quite a long time, which makes it even more gut wrenching. Its perhaps naive but I thought we were winning right up to the end
"Jim Allenby came in and played so well, Murray Goodwin played so well and then Graham Wagg played very well too so I 'll probably get more than my fair share of the praise as those guys coming in did outstanding jobs and deserve to be on the winning side
"It was just one of those games where you 'll be waking up wondering where we could find an extra 10 runs
"I'm gutted we've lost two games in two days and the team result is more important than any individual contribution
"We're very disappointed because they were two very close games that we've ended up on the losing side of.
"At the end of the day is a bottom line game and we've lost our last two games and which is disappointing but the character we've shown to manage to get up and compete in that game to the end is outstanding and shows how much we have come on as a team.
"This time last year we wouldn't have coped from being 30/3 and a lot of teams would have buckled but we've shown character and that's what this side is about and it says something when you are gutted to not chase down 280
"The extra fielder in the circle has a little impact maybe 20-30 runs, but we're a good side and good sides expect to get good scores so they have been high scoring games and that's what people want to see.
"The wicket here was excellent and if the wickets are like that for the Champions Trophy people coming to watch will have some entertainment on their hands. For 280 to play 289 just shows it was a good game.
"It was family fun day today so hopefully some children will have come to see their first game of cricket, enjoyed it and it will get them playing the game and coming back here again.
"We've been playing some really good cricket in the County Championship so looking ahead to Leicester this week it's a case of going through our processes and doing what we've been doing
"The fact that we've come out the wrong end of a couple of results sometimes can knock you off what you've been doing well. We've been bowling really well and there's some signs in the batting that some players are coming back into form, hopefully me being one of them
"So we've lost the last couple but we're in a positon in both formats that we're playing good cricket so we'll go to Leicester with confidence and we'll take it as it comes against them.
"We'll see how the lads bear up there's been a fair bit of cricket played but I can't envisage there been a great deal of changes the guys have been playing very well so it's a competitive place at the moment with some of the guys we're having to leave out are really good cricketers and that just shows where we are going as a squad."
