Mike Reed, Glamorgan's hugely promising young fast bowler, has been included by the ECB selectors in their Potential England Performance Programme during the winter months.
Reed is one of five young fast bowlers who will spend the winter months initially based at Loughborough for further skills development sessions, plus intensive strength and conditioning sessions ahead of a trip to South Africa in January where they will spend three weeks in Potchefstroom doing concentrated bowling spells under the guidance of ECB bowling coaches Neil Killeen (ex-Durham) , Graeme Welch( ex-Warwickshire) and Lancashire's Glen Chapple.
The other young fast bowlers to join Reed on the PEPP programme are Gloucestershire's Craig Miles, Middlesex's Tom Helm, Somerset's Craig Overton and Northamptonshire's Olly Stone.
