Glamorgan executed a sensational comeback win in their T20 Blast clash with Middlesex as The SSE SWALEC this evening.

Set a total of 170 to win, Middlesex fell just 4 runs short, as some superb death bowling from the Glamorgan attack turned the match on its head. Craig Meschede helped to stem the Middlesex onslaught, picking up two wicket in the 17th over, including the dangerous Dawid Malan for 70.

"Our bowlers showed a lot of character, this campaign is all about getting some momentum, and hopefully we turned the ship around tonight" captain Jacques Rudolph said.

"This whole season, the one thing that has stood out is that we have coped really well under pressure"

Glamorgan's total was built on the back of an 82-run opening stand from new look opening partnership Jacques Rudolph and Craig Meschede.

"We tried something new with Meschede, his role was to try and give us some momentum, and we'll have to patient with him, but he played great tonight." Rudolph said.

This week sees two huge games for Glamorgan, with a Friday night clash at Bristol against Gloucestershire, followed by Somerset at The SSE SWALEC on Saturday. That match sees the return of Jim Allenby as well as Chris Gayle opening the batting for Somerset.

"Two massive games next week, it'll be nice to have a bit of a break and to keep the bowlers fit, they're the guys that will win us trophies."
