Glamorgan loan signing Andy Carter has been recalled by Nottinghamshire following a successful three-match spell with the Welsh county.

Carter was due to make one final appearance for the Welsh county against Kent in the LV= County Championship and could now face Durham in the top tier as part of the Notts team.

"I enjoyed my time at Glamorgan and although we drew all three of the matches that I played in, I strongly feel that a win is just around the corner," said Carter, who caught the eye during his time at The SWALEC Stadium.

"I wanted to play first team cricket and they gave that opportunity at a time when all of the Nottinghamshire bowlers were fit.

"I¹ve been focussed on doing well for Glamorgan but I know Notts have been watching the matches and they wanted me to find form and fitness. It worked out well for all three parties."

Carter could now feature for Nottinghamshire in their LV= County Championship match against Durham
