Glamorgan Head Coach Robert Croft has revealed Colin Ingram will be out for around two weeks after sustaining a knee injury.

Batsman Ingram was due to feature in the Specsavers County Championship match versus Leicestershire this week before he aggravated a knee problem in the warm up on Sunday morning.

Croft said: “It wasn’t ideal to lose a player on the morning of the game. The initial reports on the Colin Ingram situation is good and better than first feared and we are tentatively looking at about two weeks (out).

“We know what a good cricketer Colin is, he’s a good asset on the field, a good set of eyes and ears.

"But fair play to Aneurin Donald who came in and batted really positively in the second innings.”

Ingram is unlikely to be included in the Glamorgan squad to face Derbyshire starting on Sunday, but could be back for the Welsh county’s next home match against Worcestershire on May 8 at The SSE SWALEC.
