A fine all-round performance by Glamorgan 2nd XI saw them secure a 63-run victory in their Second Eleven Trophy match against Warwickshire 2nd XI at Cardiff CC
Half-centuries by Tom Lancefield (77) and Nick James (52) helped Glamorgan 2nd XI reach 217/5 in their Second Eleven Trophy match against Warwickshire 2nd XI at Cardiff CC. After winning the toss and batting first, James and Lancefield added 106 in 23 overs for the second wicket. Ben Wright also made an unbeaten 48 from 39 balls as Glamorgan ended their 40 overs on 217/5.
Warwickshire were then dismissed for a mere 154 in 34.1 overs having never recovered from losing two wickets in the opening over as Simon Jones (3/16) began with a double wicket maiden. Nick James and Ruaidhri Smith then claimed a wicket apiece before Andrew Salter (3/27) and Alex Jones (2/18) polished off the rest of the visitor's modest resistance.
