Despite 94 from Nick James, Glamorgan drew their Second Eleven Friendly against Gloucestershire at Thornbury CC
Glamorgan made 313/6 declared in their second innings having started the day with a lead of 107. Nick James made 94 and Tom Lancefield - opening in place of Walters who has broken a finger - 77, whilst some late runs also came from Kieran Bull who was 40* when the visitors declared to set Gloucestershgire a target of 286. the home side ended on 84/3 with Doiminic Reed climing a couple of wickets in a feisty spell.
It had been a decent match for James as on the opening day of the contest, he had top-scored with 88 as Glamorgan made 326 in 81 overs, during which he shared with Stewart Walters (39) a century stand for the first wicket to lay the foundation of Glamorgan's total. For the home side spinner Ed Young took 5/66.
Then on the second day, Gloucestershire made 351 in reply with James claiming 6/51 whilst teenage spinner Kieran Bull also claimed three wickets.
