To thank you for your support, in particular during last season, our 125th anniversary year, which was a year of 'almost' for the team, most notably ending with the appearance at a Lord's showpiece final for the first time in 13 years, we have extended the early bird discount window exclusively for membership renewals until 2nd January, 2014, so you can save £40 over the full price.
In preparation for the 2014 season the Club has made some bold investments - retaining key players and extending their contracts, signing a new overseas player Jacques Rudolph, recruiting Welshman Toby Radford as Head Coach and not least - inviting Hugh Morris to return to lead the Club following his hugely successful time with the England & Wales Cricket Board. Although these investments have put us into a position where we must improve our income in 2014 substantially they are designed to improve the fortunes of the team on the field of play.
The Club is making steps to help improve your experience of membership. Firstly a survey to collect member opinions was distributed at the end of the season and one of the immediate outcomes will be the creation of a Member liaison group so that your opinions are represented to the management team.
We have also been able to confirm the access arrangements you receive at other grounds as members of Glamorgan CCC when you travel to support the team away (click here). Following the publication of fixtures for 2014, Glamorgan members can look forward to a new season that offers greater regularity of scheduling, which should help you attend more games, with all but one Championship home game before the end of August starting on a Sunday and six out of seven home T20 games on a Friday night.
Members receive the guaranteed right to purchase an Ashes Test Match ticket when the Series returns to Wales in 2015 and you also benefit from priority application for tickets to see 2014 internationals at Lord's.
Whilst membership prices have increased, this represents a relatively small proportion of the total improvement in income that the Club requires to remain stable and to grow in the future. Rest assured that we continue to do everything in our power to generate income from other sources.
To offset the price increases we are able to give you a further £40 saving in addition to the early bird offer if you introduce a friend* to join with you or £10 discount if you also purchase a ticket for next year's England versus India Royal London One-Day International in Cardiff on 27 August 2014.
The team will always experience ups and downs, but our progress in limited overs competition in 2013 and the investments we've made shows a positive outlook for Glamorgan to move forward and we look forward to your continued support as we aim to share more great moments with you in 2014.
