Glamorgan return to the SWALEC Stadium for their next match in the Friends Life t20 as they meet Worcestershire on Tuesday, July 23rd in a contest due to start under the Cardiff floodlights at 6.30pm (Gates open - 5pm)
The two sides met during the last week of June at New Road with Glamorgan launching their Twenty20 campaign with a comprehensive victory by 58 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis Method after Chris Cooke had blasted fifty from just 23 balls, the second-fastest for the Club in the competition, and Graham Wagg had taken 5/14 to record the best-ever bowling figures for Glamorgan in Twenty20 cricket.
As far as previous matches in the Twenty20 competition at the Cardiff ground are concerned, Glamorgan were victorious in 2003 as well as in 2006, whilst Worcestershire won in June 2009. The contests in 2008 and again the one last summer were both washed out without a ball being bowled, and all concerned will be hoping that the fine weather will continue as the weather gods smile on the two teams.
Worcestershire are currently bottom of the table after losing on Sunday to the Northants Steelbacks by five wickets. In contrast, the Welsh county will start the game in third place and eager to bounce back to winning ways after their successive defeats in the past week to the Steelbacks, Somerset and Gloucestershire.
