July is a massive month for cricket in Cardiff! Following the success of the ICC Champions Trophy, the home of Glamorgan cricket is racing straight into more one-day cricket in the form of the Friends Life t20 fixtures.
This month the SWALEC stadium will play host to five high-energy, unpredictable county battles as Glamorgan entertain Warwickshire Bears, Somerset, Worcestershire Royals, Northants Steelbacks and Gloucestershire.
Twenty20 is all about the action- big hits, impressive catches and spectacular run-outs. Spectators are encouraged to dress up in fancy dress to add the party atmosphere. There will be various competitions and off field activities held at each match to add to the thrill of the evening, including a chance to win tickets to the sell-out finals day if you catch a six!
As expected for these crowd pleasing spectacles, tickets are flying out. Martyn Bicknell Marketing Communications Manger at Glamorgan said, "T20 attracts the biggest crowds with only 20 overs -and just over an hour to rack up the highest score you can. Batsmen will be sweeping, slogging and smashing anything that comes their way and there will be plenty of wickets falling as a result."
"It's a thrilling way to spend a summer evening whether it's out with the lads, your family or an after work do, anything could happen!"
To get your tickets, visit the brand new t20 section of the Glamorgan website which will be live tomorrow where you can take advantage of our group deals and advanced ticket offers for future games in the competition or call 02920 419 311 and speak to someone in our Ticket Office"
