This year's Brit National Cricket Day will take place on Tuesday 18 June and will be Australian themed to celebrate an Ashes year.
Over 1,000 schools take part in the day every year and turn their timetable over to cricket. In partnership with the Cricket Foundation's Chance to Shine programme, Cricket Wales and Glamorgan provide schools with cross-curricular cricket lesson plans, from teaching coordinates of a cricket field in Maths to pinpointing cricket playing countries in Geography. This year clubs will hold Kwik cricket competitions for their local schools, while schoolchildren in Brighton, Cardiff and Cornwall will compete in inter-school beach cricket tournaments.
Glamorgan's Huw Waters visit Hywel Dda Primary School today. More information follows.
