Glamorgan travel to Grace Road for their next match in the Yorkshire Bank40 with their match against the Leicestershire Foxes scheduled to start at 1.45pm on Wednesday, June 19th.
Both Glamorgan and the Leicestershire Foxes harbour ambitions of a place in the last four of the competition as the Foxes are currently in third place in the group table, with Glamorgan in fourth spot and also with two games in hand over Somerset who occupy the top spot in the table.Indeed, the Foxes met Somerset at Taunton on Sunday with Somerset winning by five wickets to maintain their place at the top of the group table ahead of Gloucestershire who defeated the Yorkshire Vikings at Bristol. This was the Foxes' second defeat from their six matches so far this season, with three centuries in succession by captain Josh Cobb seeing his side to victories in May over Gloucestershire, Somerset and the Unicorns.
The Welsh county lost their most recent List A encounter against the East Midlands side, losing at Grace Road in September 2009 by 23 runs. However, they had been victorious the previous season in a National League encounter against the Foxes at Colwyn Bay where a feisty stand between Alex Wharf and Mark Wallace saw Glamorgan home by four wickets as they successfully chased a stiff target of 291 to win a high-scoring game.
