Dean Cosker took 5/120 as Kent declared on 489/9 on the final day of their LV=County Championship match against Glamorgan at Canterbury as the contest ended in a draw.
With the new ball looming, Jim Allenby and Michael Hogan briefly resumed the bowling with both batsmen adopting an assertive approach before Dean Cosker had a short spell with the old ball, whilst Graham Wagg also had a trundle at the Nackington Road End mixing his left-arm swing with spin as the fifth wicket pair brought up their century stand.
Hogan then returned at the Pavilion End with the new ball with Kent on 303/4 as Wagg reverted back to his normal mode. But the Kent batsmen remained largely untroubled, and proceeded to add a hundred in the morning session until a quarter of an hour before lunch, Harmison was run out by Michael Hogan attempting a second run. Stevens duly completed his hundred with a six against Cosker in the final over before the interval.
Two runs later a fine delivery from Mike Reed uprooted Geraint Jones' leg stump, and next over the tall pace bowler nearly removed Calum Haggett as Stewart Walters at second slip made a superb effort to cling onto an outside edge.
Michael Hogan duly returned to the attack as Glamorgan tried to end Kent's resistance, but it was Cosker who made further inroads as he bowled Haggett as he prodded forward to the left-arm spinner with his side on 437/8 and a lead of 194.
Mitch Claydon and Adam Riley then continued the rear-guard action in the hour before the scheduled tea interval as Mark Wallace rotated his bowlers in an attempt to finish off Kent's resistance. In the 130th over, Cosker gleefully claimed his fifth wicket as Claydon was caught at slip by Jim Allenby, before Riley and Charlie Shreck stoutly defended until the interval.
The obdurate Adam Riley and Charlie Shreck duly faced Mike Reed at the Nackington Road End whilst Dean Cosker continued his marathon spell at the Pavilion End. There was some brief entertainment for the Kent supporters as Shreck lofted Cosker straight for six shortly before the declaration came at 4.50pm with Kent leading by 246 runs.
