After the frustrations of their draws in the past fortnight at Bristol and Canterbury, Glamorgan head to Worcester for their next contest in the LV=County Championship with the four-day match getting under way at 11am on Thursday, June 20th.
The game at the picturesque New Road ground marks the halfway stage in the Championship season for the Welsh county who start the game in seventh place in the Division Two table, but with a game in hand over the four teams immediately above them.
Glamorgan's sole win in the Championship so far this summer came against Worcestershire at the SWALEC Stadium in mid-April when they defeated the Midlands side by ten wickets thanks to a haul of 5/27 by Mike Reed plus a fine all-round performance from Jim Allenby who made an invaluable 78 and took 4/27 in Worcestershire's second innings as Glamorgan eased to victory on the final day.
The Welsh county were victorious on their most recent visit to New Road for a Championship match, with the Welsh county overwhelming Worcestershire by nine wickets in 2010. This went some way to erasing the memories of the ten-wicket defeat by Worcestershire on Glamorgan's previous visit to New Road for a Championship match in 2008.
