After their match yesterday at Colwyn Bay, Glamorgan's cricketers travel to Lord's for their next game in the Yorkshire Bank40, meeting the Middlesex Panthers in a contest which starts at 1.45pm at the historic St. John's Wood Ground.

Glamorgan were beaten by six runs in 2007 at Lord's in their most recent List A contest at the famous ground. However, the Welsh county tied their National League encounter at Lord's in June 2000, just a few weeks before Glamorgan met Gloucestershire in the Final of the Benson and Hedges Cup. The Welsh county had also been victorious in April 1999 in their game in the National League, defeating Middlesex by 35 runs.

Amongst the highlights of previous Glamorgan one-day games against Middlesex at Lord's were the centuries by Matthew Maynard in the Benson and Hedges Cup game in 1996, when the forceful right-hander struck an unbeaten 151. In 1990 Alan Butcher also struck an unbeaten 104 in the NatWest Trophy game at Lord's.

As far as bowling is concerned, spinner John Steele recorded an analysis of 5/30 in the Sunday League match at Lord's in 1985, whilst seamer John Derrick claimed 5/32 in the game at the ground in 1987.
