Wins against the Yorkshire Vikings and the Middlesex Panthers mean that Glamorgan have made their best start for almost a decade to their one-day season

A victory over the Unicorns in the Yorkshire Bank40 contest on Sunday at the SWALEC Stadium (start time 1.45pm) would see Marcus North and his team emulate their achievements in 1980, 2003 and 2004 by winning their first three List A matches of the summer.

Winning first five games: 2003 v Leicestershire, Kent, Gloucestershire, Yorkshire, Worcestershire

Winning first four games: 2004 v Surrey, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire, Essex

Winning first three games: 1980 v Lancashire, Essex and Nottinghamshire

Back in 1993 when the Welsh county won the One-Day League, Glamorgan lost their opening two games, against Derbyshire and Northamptonshire, before winning their next twelve matches - their most successful sequence in one-day cricket in a season - before lifting the AXA Equity and Law title by defeating Kent at Canterbury by six wickets.

With the team of 2013 wearing the same design and colour of kit to Hugh Morris' men back in 1993, time will tell whether this retro clothing will prove to be their lucky talisman this summer.
