The match in the Second Eleven Trophy between Glamorgan and Leicestershire at Grace Road was abandoned after the Welsh county had made 142/9 in their 40 overs.

After opting to bat first, Glamorgan slipped to 75/9 in the 30th over with only David Lloyd (20) offering any lengthy resistance before a vibrant and unbroken tenth wicket stand of 67 between youngsters Ruadhri Smith (43*) and Dan Lewis Williams saw Glamorgan to 142/9. For the home side, James Sykes took 3/30, Michael Thornely 2/15 whilst captain and former England seamer Matthew Hoggard took 1/26 on his return from injury.

The rains then descended during the interval between innings, and with no let-up in the precipitation, the umpires declared the game a "No Result". Both sides will be hoping for fine weather over the next three days as the two sides meet each other at Hinckley Town CC for a Championship match.
