Following a sizzling summer of cricket, during which we've seen on-pitch action that's been as hot as the temperatures, England and Australia will commence their final battle with the One-Day International series expected to be underway tomorrow.

The potentially crucial fourth fixture, taking place in Cardiff on Saturday September 14th will see the 2013 Ashes winners look to maintain their unbeaten record in the Welsh capital, with at least one of cricket global superstars Kevin Pieterson - as well as some exciting new talent, led by Eoin Morgan, battling to make sure it happens.

Although defeated, and having been crushed by England in the second Ashes test by almost 350 runs, the Australians rallied through the series and with the two T20 games ending in one win each, the One-Day Internationals will now determine which nation will end the summer with a swagger before the two nations resume battle Down Under this winter.

All eyes will be on Pieterson, seeking a repeat of his glorious summer Oval innings - more one-day cricket than Test Match batting - which gave England the unlikely opportunity to beat the Baggy Greens in the fifth Test.

Led by the record partnership of Eoin Morgan and Ravi Bopara, England enjoyed a convincing warm-up match earlier this week in Ireland.

But Australia too were very convincing winners against Scotland, with former Glamorgan T20 player Shaun Marsh top scoring with 151 and Aaron Finch also repeating his exploits from the T20 series with another big century.

With the ODI promising fast-paced, intense action as the batsmen look to make quick boundaries in the shorter format of the game, the stage is definitely set for an exciting season finale!
