It's a massive week for Glamorgan CCC which starts as they welcome Kent to the SWALEC Stadium on Tuesday, September 3rd for their next match in the LV=County Championship with the contest scheduled to get underway at 10.30am
Match Preview
Glamorgan will look to bounce back from their defeat against Northants as they prepare for the YB40 semi-final against the Hampshire Royals at the Ageas Bowl on Saturday with a Championship match against Kent with whom they drew earlier in the season at Canterbury
Last September, they recorded a seven-wicket victory against Kent at the Cardiff ground with Robert Croft making a fairytale ending to his outstanding career by taking a wicket with his final delivery for the Welsh county, and all after a fine century by Jim Allenby had helped lay the foundations of a sizeable Glamorgan total.
This followed an innings victory over Kent at the Cardiff ground in 2011 with a century by Mark Wallace, plus half centuries from Will Bragg, Ben Wright and James Harris saw the Welsh county to an emphatic victory. Wallace and his team will therefore be looking to make it three wins out of three at their headquarters against Kent, who were last victorious in the Welsh capital in 2009 when they recorded a victory by an innings and 46 runs.
