After seeing off former captain Alviro Peterson and his Somerset teammates in nail-biting fashion on Monday with a one wicket win in the final over, another old boy, James Harris, now with Middlesex, could return to Cardiff to face his former colleagues tomorrow.
Glamorgan's one-day captain, Marcus North who scored a career-best 137 not out when Glamorgan won at Lord's in May, reflects on last night's win against top of the table Somerset.
"Mark Wallace battled magnificently, he was seeing the ball as well as anyone, and to do that on a wicket that was still nibbling around a bit with the new ball was a great start for us and really set the tone.
"We talked before about assessing the wicket, but also being positive really having that intent and I thought Mark did that very well, and got rewarded for playing some good shots and gave us the perfect start.
"We still have one or two games on the other teams around us, firstly v Middlesex then Gloucester on Sunday. In the next four or five days. We have a great opportunity in the next week to play a few games against these guys who are around us at the top of the table and get a few more wins.
"After the disappointment of the T20, we really wanted to make amends and we're doing everything we can to do that in this competition. We've been playing really good cricket, and find ourselves in the top two spots, so we will do what we can to qualify."
